Teaching Fellows are certified graduates of early childhood, elementary, and secondary education programs. At present those students are just beginning their Master's program in various majors of the Curriculum and Instruction department.
*co-teach with a veteran mentor
*bridge the transition from Novice to Master
*engage in professional planning
*move from theory into practice
*participate in collaborative decision-making
*engage in action research
*use a variety of collaborative classroom strategies
*be a part of classroom continuity from beginning to end of at least one school year
Just a few include:
*mutual deliberation on student learning
*shared teaching in university and in schools
*collaborative research on educational practice
*cooperative supervision of prospective teachers and administrators
